This book is billed as a classroom management resource for K-12 teachers. However, as a K/1 teacher, nothing in this book applied to my classroom situation or my students.Everything is geared toward middle and high school teachers and the struggles they face. The advice, the student quotes, the scenarios, and the author’s own stories from the trenches are centered on grades 6+. (This isn’t surprising, really, considering those are the grades the author has taught.) If you teach secondary students, I think you’ll get a lot out of this book. Anyone teaching at the elementary level will likely be disappointed.
